The Cloverleaf Energy Storage Project will be sited on 10-15 acres of privately owned land adjacent in Brookings County's "energy corridor." The site location is close to existing electric infrastructure and will have minimal impact on area residents. Battery Energy Storage Systems use equipment that is approximately 10-12 feet tall, is fully contained and does not require water or other public services.
